Urban Designer

At the start of my career, I worked as an urban designer at the Shenzhen Urban Planning and Design Institute (UPDIS), one of China’s largest and most esteemed urban planning and design institutions. This formative 2–3-year period was invaluable for my professional growth, providing me with a holistic understanding of urban systems and laying the foundation for my career development.

During my time at UPDIS, I had the privilege of contributing to several nationally significant projects. These included the development of the Shenzhen-Harbin Industrial Park, a strategic cooperation zone designed to achieve national economic objectives. Additionally, I participated in the International Design Competition for Guangming Science City, a landmark initiative with a focus on innovation and scientific advancement. These projects enriched my professional perspective, fostering a macro-level approach to urban design and planning.

Beyond these large-scale endeavors, I also worked on projects with more localized and immediate impact, such as the redevelopment of Qingqing World, an eco-protected tourism area, and the main street regeneration project in Jinan, which emphasized urban revitalization and implementation feasibility. These experiences honed my ability to address the complexities of existing urban environments while ensuring practical and sustainable solutions.

This diverse and impactful experience at UPDIS served as the cornerstone of my design career, equipping me with the skills, perspectives, and professional rigor necessary to excel in urban design.
